| Bliss |
|
In the middle of the night, My bedroom washed in moonlight And outside The faint hush-hushing Of an ebbing tide, I see Venus Close to The waning moon. I hear the bubbling hoot Of a playful owl. Pierrot's purrs Ripple under my hand, And all this is bathed In the scent of roses By my bed Where there are always Books and flowers. In the middle of the night The bliss of being alive! ....by May Sarton, 1991 I Want More of Everything |

| Beauty |
| Beauty is unbearable, drives us to despair, offering us for a minute the glimpse of an eternity that we should like to stretch out over the whole of time. ....by Albert Camus |

| Stopping By Woods... |
|
Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. ....by Robert Frost |

Life has loveliness to sell, All beautiful and splendid things, Blue waves whitened on a cliff, Soaring fire that sways and sings, And childrens's faces looking up Holding wonder in a cup. Life has loveliness to sell, Music like a curve of gold, Scent of pine trees in the rain, Eyes that love you, arms that hold, And for your spirit's still delight, Holy thoughts that star the night. Spend all you have for loveliness, Buy it and never count the cost; For one white singing hour of peace Count many a year of strife well lost, And for a breath of ecstacy Give all you have been, or could be. ....by Sara Teasdale |

| The Simplicities of Life |
|
Keep life as simple as possible and enjoy to the full the simple things all around you, the simple wonders and beauties which are there for all to share but which are so often taken for granted because they are missed. Miss nothing. Be like little children, able to see and enjoy those little seemingly insignificant things in life which really make up the whole of life: the wonders of nature, the beauty of a flower, the perfume of a rose, the song of a bird, the dew drops sparkling on the grass in the early morning, the glory of the sunrise, the gentle wind whispering in the grass, the raindrops trickling down a window pane. How simple and yet how truly beautiful these things are when you look at them with eyes that really see and cease to rush through life in such a hurry that you fail to notice them! When you walk through the garden, do you see My wonders and beauties all around you, or is you mind so full of the cares and worries of the day that you are blind and deaf and bowed down, that you see nothing for you are so wrapped up in youself and self-concern? Why not try today to keep ever aware of all that is going on around you? Open your eyes, keep your feelers out and really enjoy life. When you can do this, it means you are aware of the things that really matter. You are aware of Me, for I am in all those little things in life as well as the big ones. You are aware of My divine presence in everything and life can never be dull or mundane when you are consciously aware of Me in everything around you. ....by Eileen Caddy |
