Note: Pattern is worked from the bottom up with raglan sleeves. It allows enough room to be worn over a long sleeve top, with the opening in the front or back.

YARN: #1, Fingering weight, Superfine - about 1 oz
GAUGE : 21st = 3in 18 rows = 2in
KNITTING NEEDLES: three 7” doublepoint size #000 and seven 7” doublepoint size #1
YARN MARKERS: 4 – made from scrap yarn
SNAPS: 4 size 1/4” (6mm) – 100% Nylon are nice
BUTTONS: 4 size 1/4”
Suggested yarn: Bernat Baby Soft

Sleeves (make 2): With size #000 needles, cast on 25 st.
Row 1: [K1, P1] across to last st. K1
Row 2: P1, [K1, P1] across
Row 3: [K1, P1] across to last st. K1
Change to size #1 needles.
Row 4: K25
Row 5: P25
Row 6: K25
Row 7: K25 (ridge row)
Row 8: K1, M1, K23, M1, K1
Row 9: P27
Row 10: K27 (2 7/8” wide, 7/8” long)
Row 11: K27 (ridge row)
Row 12: K27
Row 13: P27
Row 14: K1, M1, K25, M1, K1
Row 15: K29 (ridge row)
Row 16: K29 (3 1/8” wide, 1 1/4” long)
Row 17: P29
Row 18: K29
Row 19: K29 (ridge row)
Row 20: Bind off 1 st. K25, K2tog - 27 st
Row 16: Bind off 1 st, P23, P2tog - 25 st
Leave work on needle. Cut, leaving 12" for sewing.
Make a second sleeve on a separate needle. Cut, leaving 12" for sewing.

Body:
With size #000, cast on 73 st.
Row 1: K2, [K1, P1] to last 3 st. K3
Row 2: K3, [K1, P1] to last 4 st. K4
Row 3: K2, [K1, P1] to last 3 st. K3
Change to size #1 needles.
Row 4: K73
Row 5: K3, P67, K3
Row 6: K73
Row 7: K73
Repeat Row 4-7 twice
Row 16: K73
Row 17: K3, P15, bind off 2 st. P32, bind off 2 st, P14, K3
(Pick up sleeve stitches)
Row 18: K18. With right side facing, K12 from 1st sleeve   (1st needle)
              K13 remaining from sleeve                                     (2nd needle)
              K33                                                                          (3rd needle)
              With right side facing, K13 from 2nd sleeve          (4th needle)

Note: Give a little tug between last stitch of one needle and first stitch of the next needle to keep even gauge.

Row 38: With size 1 needle, bind off in rib.

Sew sleeves and underarms. Sew 4 clear snaps on band of left front and
band (wrong side) of right front.
Sew 4 small buttons on right front band if desired.
